Peter Pepper Germination

Hi all,

 

I have planted some Peter Pepper seeds about 3 weeks ago now and still have not seen any sign of germination. Can anyone who has grown these before tell me if they take a long time to sprout normally?

Welcome Auki!

Peter pepper, as most C.annuum, sprouts easily within few days (4 to 10).

Maybe your seeds are too old or germination temperature too low (optimal is in the range 25°-30°C)

where you put the seeds to germinate? and what temperature? some pictures would help us

Thanks for the welcome guys. I am in Darwin, Australia, temperature most of the year is between 30 - 35 deg celcius.

 

Right now we are at the start of our monsoon season so it has been very humid and hot.

Seeds are planted in well drained soil but kept moist.

 

Im suspecting maybe old seeds then !
