No, C.baccatum.

A rejected line from my StripeyStarfish project. Liked the look of it so grew it into F3 anyway.

First ripe pod on any of the F2 plants I’m growing in this cross. C.rabenii dominant 🙂

Thanks, tons of work left to do on most things as you’ll well know! Finding some good options for selection though.

What do the words X043 X044 mean?

Those are just the project numbers I allocate when labelling and tracking.

X043 = (Sugar Rush Stripey x Pimenta Da Neyde) x (Brazilian Starfish Yellow x Sugar Rush Stripey)

X044 = (Brazilian Starfish Yellow x Sugar Rush Stripey) x (Sugar Rush Stripey x Pimenta Da Neyde)

I don’t want to write all that on labels 🤣

I'm sure some will start appearing on the plant with less, or no, striping. The first couple are too good 🙂

Now getting a mixture of striping on that F2, as expected.

IMG_1831.jpeg.eb98d003e6b63efd56eed2418cecb5c4.jpeg
There is striping on the red pod, it’s just hard to see as subtle shades of red.

Another F2 plant from this test grow also showing striping now

Accidental F1, confident I know what the cross is based on limited number of plants growing when harvested a few seasons ago.

F1 - tastes just like the suspected father

Mother - Hawaiian Sweet Red

Suspected Father - Antep Aci Dolma

Not the best photo but an example of the growth pattern on my C.rabenii x C.tovarii F1. Keeping it in a small pot didn’t keep it short! This plant is around 6ft/1.8m including the pot.
