my_key 0 Posted January 12, 2010 Hi pepper people, I've been reading and looking at this forum for a while. There surely is some nice info on here. I'm trying to understand it all, but I never took any classes in Italian. I've just been interested to learn it for a while (but I haven't got much spare time): I've visited your country many (over 10 times), my uncle is Italian, I like Italian cuisine (I'm an avid user of my imperia pasta maker and Il Cucchiaio d'argento rocks!). The season that's just started is my first real chilehead season. I've planted over 50 varieties already and a few more will follow. Before this year I only had a small Cayenne plant and a Aji Umba red one that have inspired me to go a bit over the top in exploring the wonderful world of chillies. You might have seen me already on other pepper forums as well including a dutch one, an american one and an EU one on wild chillies. Ciao belle/o, Michael

Lonewolf 18,219 Posted January 12, 2010 Welcome my_key, nice to see you here! Don't worry about Italian language on the forum; write in English and ask if something written in Italian isn't clear ...

Adi55 0 Posted January 13, 2010 Hi! Welcome from Calabria, pepper country. I use often my Imperia pasta maker! I make pepper tagliatelle!! (sorry for my english.....)
my_key 0 Posted January 14, 2010 sorry for my english.... Your English is quite well. It's also a lot better than my Italian I'm afraid. No need to apologize, nor to be afraid to make mistakes. I don't know anybody who doesn't make them, even native speakers, and it's by making mistakes that we learn. This forum is cool. I just found the section with the Italian-English dictionary on chilli terminology. It all starts to make a little bit more sense now I love that you guys are so open to international participation in this forum.
Lonewolf 18,219 Posted January 14, 2010 I just found the section with the Italian-English dictionary on chilli terminology. We should add new items, but there are always so many things to do ... A great chilehead always said me, when we meet and I'm in trouble with my poor English (expecially in conversation): "We can communicate; that's important!"
