mich 71 Posted February 23, 2010 OK Alex, take care about the soil temperature, not higher. I see the lightbox is partially close. Try, if it is possible, to open a little, maybe there will be a better air change. Last year, my first lightbox (1/2 close) came up to 40°C!!! It's the motivation that now it is full open... and, in facts, is really better (in my situation). Chissà se mi hai capito... scusami, eh! ;-)
AlexH 0 Posted February 23, 2010 OK... so here's the second "happy" half of the update... As you can see the plants are growing really well since moving them to the new light box: Here are some of my favourites... ...and some buds!... ...and, of course, the "purple chupegascar!" mich 71 Posted February 23, 2010 Nice! But... why some plants are wet? It can be dangerous with the light for lens effect...

Lonewolf 18,170 Posted February 23, 2010 Wonderful plants, so "green" Professional growers always water small seedlings (in greenhouses) over the leaves, but they don't use artificial light so close to the plants. Water drops may really act as small lenses and cause burns. Also keeping leaves wet may help fungal and bacterial diseases.

AlexH 0 Posted February 28, 2010 Absolutely BioBizz line! Take a look here. Ciau! Sorry to go back to an old post, but I couldn't find BioBizz in the garden centres near me but I did find a product called "BioFito" which I think is made from leftovers from wine making ("Borlanda Vitivincola Fluida")... it says it's 100% natural/organic... does anyone have any experience of it? pioc 36 Posted February 28, 2010 Hi AlexH! Borlanda is a very good natural fertilizer, adviced for a foliar usage, do you have the exact composition of BioFito and/or manufacturer ?

pioc 36 Posted February 28, 2010 Is [ this (see pag. 24) ] ? It's a N-K (3-4) fertilizer, good expecially during the second half plant's life when pods are ripening.

Yes, this is the one (the "universal" one)... next time I see it I'll get a bottle. Thanks!
AlexH 0 Posted February 28, 2010 Here is a little "2 month" update! The original "germ/light box"... it's crowded in there! ...a "group photo" of all the peppers together... The "famous" Purple Chupe and two of her non-purple sisters... ...and buds forming on Cayenne and Hungarian Hot Wax... ...thanks to all for all your help, advice and support over the last two months... I certainly would have not got this far without it!
