Some pictures from the last weeks
San Isidro
Very small pubescens, Pi 355811 (aji rocoto)
Violet Lady
This one is called Aji Amarillo, its much smaller than the Aji Amarillos I have seen before.
Jamy, a very nice baccatum
Purple Marconi and Corno di Toro
Cajamarca, one of the favorites of this year
Purple hazel
7 pod Yellow
The Balcony (Birgits Locoto, Aji Amarillo (M), Goats Weed, Aji Colorado, White Rocoto and more)
A closer look at Goats Weed
Cajamarca are doing very well, and it has some very odd pods.
My 7-pod(Blast) is light green as unripe, the other 7-pods (yellow, orange)are dark green as unripe.
Bhut Jolokia
Peppadew
(Not) Peruvian Serlano
This is an interesting pepper. It has a very nice aroma and taste, but is also painfully hot. I compared it with some other chinense.
Chocolate Bhut Jolokia, Bhut Jolokia, Habanero and Vinagrito
My first matured Chocolate Bhut Jolokia and Bhut Jolokia pods were small. The pods that now are maturing are looking much better. Anyway I tasted the first ripe pods of the Jolokias together with Habanero and the similar Vinagrito. I only to a very small pice of the pods.
The Chocolate Bhut Jolokia: Very nice and strong smell, at first also a very nice aroma, but quite soon I realized its going to hurt The second taste made me cough.
Bhut Jolokia: Not that strong smell as the Chocolate Bhut Jolokia, otherwise the same experience when tasting it, first nice aroma and taste then extremely hot!
Habanero: also very very hot.
Vinagrito: definitely milder than the others, but still hot.
Conclusion:Its hard to tell which pepper is hotter than the other - they all gave me pain, maybe the reaction of sweating, coughing and a runny nose was an indication that the Jolokias are hotter then the Habanero
I had a small cold, I feel better now
Well I guess I love peppers, cus when I saw these peppers on our vacation in a garden center – the where calling to me. I just had to buy them.
The peppers was: Monkey Face,
Cumari,
Fireworks.
The Bhut Jolokias now have matured pod, here is the red one and here is...
the brown one. I have not dared to try them yet...I guess I am in for a hot one;)
My Habanero plant
Some non pepper shots:
Well the White Rocoto turned out to be a yellow capsicum pubescens. In some angels in seems to be somewhat paler than yellow rocoto. This pod is more than ripe. I did expect it to be more white than this But anyway it was very tasty and it was quite hot.
a comparison White Rocoto and Clavo (c.chinense)
The Green House is now complete with peppers, mostly very hot ones like Bhut Jolokia and the hot ones from Trinidad. Also some tomatoes, cucumbers and borlotto beans.
Bhut Jolokia
Chocolate Bhut Jolokia
Bubba, Capsicum baccatum. Tasty hot baccatum with the typical taste of the red baccatums.
I have been eating a lot of Hot Paper Lantern (sorry for calling it Hot Pepper Lantern before ). Its a great even as green.
Finally our garden house is ready.
Lila Purpur in its new home.
Not white at all (yet!?) - White Rocoto. This pods looks much more healthy than the first pod that changed color. The only problem is that it is yellow like a lemon! Time will tell if it will turn into a white.
Many of the peppers now has small pods, like this small capsicum chinense Condors Beak ( It looks like it has some annuum genes)
Today, it was a rainy day, Ida and Hot Pepper Lantern was out on the balcony for some photos. It did not went as good as I hoped. Ida loved to hold the pods, but she hold them so hard that the pods was almost crushed. I had to wash her hand carefully after this meeting...I wonder how it will work when I put the plants on the balcony more permanently.
Harvest after the Ida photos. 35 pods.
Hot Pepper Lantern from green to red;)
The 2 pod of my White Rocoto is now changing color. This pod is very small, smaler than the other pods. Its funny that the first pod has not changed color.
This Bell pepper I got from Diana i Holland, its called Lila Purpur.
Two very similar plants: Serrano Hildago & Goats Weed
Santa Fe Grande
Jamy, capsicum baccatum (from Italian Stuard Company)
My indoor pepper plant Hot Pepper Lantern Capsicum chinense outside for a bit of fresh air.
Pod of Serrano Purple – some purple but mostly green at this moment
Flower of Jalapeno Delicias, I believe this jalapeno should have a milder heat than a “regular” jalapeno
Clavo looks promising, I believe this is an Italian capsicum chinense
Birgits Locoto, capsicum baccatum
Numex Pinata, one of those "extra" beautiful jalapenos.
Chocolate Bhut Jolokia, I am really looking forward to see the pods on this one and to taste it.
Small pods of Bubba looking at the sun:) I wonder if they will stay this way?
Blondie, last year this one did not came true so I am having another go this year with this white baccatum.
Another "white" pepper, White Rocoto - still very green;)
Aji Colorado, is not as early as last year but still an early baccatum.
Brown Rocoto, first flower in a while from this two year old plant
Young pods of Hot Pepper Lantern
Jalapeno Grande
Habanero, 3 year old plant. First pod to mature this year.
White Rocoto, still no pods just flowers.
Serrano Purple
Bubba Capsicum baccatum
Goats Weed
Bhut Jolokia
Hot Pepper Lantern with one matured pod so far - its really great to be able to harvest at this time of the year.

I wish I had more time to take more photos etc, but my daughter seems to take most of my time and shes is very interested in the pepper plants - so my job nowadays is to keep them away from her, its a hard job
Anyway here are some photos. I hope to do a big update soon.

Aji Colorado, second year that I grow this one from seed (the only one that I grow for a second time this year - I love this one)
The Chinense peppers, most of them. This year I am growing some hot capsicum chinense. In this photo there are two Bhut Jolokia (brown and red) and four 7 pod versions (Red, Yellow, Orange and Brown). There is one that has pods that looks like a Caterpillar, it is called Aribibi Gusano. The one that differs the most is the tallest of them Cajamarca this capsicum chinense have a pubescens like fuzz on the stems. It reminds me a lot of the Misqucho Colorado PI 152225 that I had last year.
It is crowded!
Purple Jalapeno, first pod of the 2009 peppers.
Santa Fe Grande, never grown this common pepper before.
At last we have some nice spring days with temperatures well over 10 C
It is chaos at home - peppers everywhere, and I just planted the tomatoes... Some of the older plants like the Hot Pepper Lantern are doing very well. I believe the first pod will turn red quite soon. Of the 2009 peppers Purple Jalapeno has the first flower buds. Some peppers are still very small, like the rhomboideum plant. Speaking of capsicum rhomboideum it seems to be much confusion with this plant and its name (also known as capsicum ciliatum)
Hot Pepper Lantern - 3 years old, has never been outside.
Hot Pepper Lantern
Purple Jalapeno (or should it be Jalapeno Purple?)
PI 645680 Capsicum rhomboideum
We spent a few days in Barcelona in excellent weather. The food was also excellent with lots of peppers.
The spring was really on its way.
The market was full of nice vegetables
The bell peppers was amazingly large, some of them were well over 0,5 kilos! In Sweden bell peppers have 1/3 of that size. Compare them with the normal size eggplants (eggplants have big pods).
Me and some rosemary bushes in the Park Guell.
Some of the stuff we bought. I was extra glad to find Piqullo de Lodosa, one of those peppers that I have never managed to get hold of.
It really hard being a chilehead. I am already growing more than I can handle. And then I get these peppers, I want to grow them now!!! A big thanks to Sara. I wonder how these super hots can come in so many colors.
Pickled peppers. I got the recipe from Blast, thanks.
Cap 1492 looks alright in the early spring. In the country house we always have problems with bugs but it seem to be under control. As you see we still have loads of snow. But soon we will have warmer weather (I hope!).
Maybe this is a sign. On our plum tree a branch broke. We put it in water inside. Now it looks like this:
