Very nice pod shape!

The shape of the peduncle in open flower (acute angle between peduncle and calyx) is quite strange for C.chinense; maybe this variety has some genes from C.frutescens.

The same interesting feature can be seen in other Brazilian Chinense, for example Pimenta Morango.

Very interesting note. Unfortunately, my experience of growing C.frutescens varieties doesn't allow me to notice such nuances.

Hummm, I don't think so.

I guess it will become red.

However I'm not sure, but you only have to wait few days and see what happens ;)

Grazie, Claudio!

The last photo's fruit has this colouration during last 7 days. I have already grown before a couple of varieties with such final colours: CGN 21500 & Cheiro Roxa.

So I have thought maybe Bode Roxa is their "brother". wink.gif

7 days more and practically no change in coloration. So I yesterday carried out a taste test of the first fruit. Aroma was identical to CGN 21500 (it's a kind of typical C.chinense but there is something specific in it too. Some people don't appreciate it. But I myself like it very much...)

Heat level was about 6-7 points of 10. I'm sure if the plant would be grown outside the heat level would be higher.
