meatfreak 500 Posted September 19, 2013 Wow! The Jalapeño Farmers Market Potato is a very strange variety, incredible corking. Some plants seem to have more pods than leaves! Very nice Yes, it's the second season I try growing the Jalapeño Farmers Market Potato and luckily one of the 2 plants has the correct phenotype that belongs to this weird and very rare variety. It's completely covered with corking, so difficult to see when it's ripe Got about 5 pods that have a good size and hope these will ripen of before we start to get frost. Otherwise I have to dig it out and take it inside, because I don't have any seeds of it left

meatfreak 500 Posted September 21, 2013 Jalapeño Farmers Market Potato...........veramente molto particolare e bello Stefan!!! remind me something of "elephant pepper"......... how it tastes? Yeah, it has the same excess corking as the elephant pepper/Vezena Piperka. I haven't tasted it yet because I wanna be sure I can harvest some seeds of a ripe pod. As soon as I have tasted it, I will let you know

Demoniacal666 1,505 Posted September 29, 2013 Hey mate! There are perfect peppers! The not-coyote zen seems a chupetinho and baccatum hybrid, it's strange but it's looking good. however seems more longer than in previous photos. Half forum looking for pure seeds of Habanero white giant. Do you have it? Can i order from you?

Half forum looking for pure seeds of Habanero white giant. Do you have it? Can i order from you? The not coyote pods are indeed more elongated than the first harvest round. They still have the same yellow/cream color. The HGW are not as white as they should been but looks to be true. I did not isolate the flowers, so there's always the risk of getting an cross. I love the Jalabanero ! Both plants or? In unripe stage plant 1 is prettier but in ripe stage the pods of plant 2 are looking better. Also hotter with the gnarly surface. Wow! wonderful colors and great harvest! you should have planted some jalapeno, too! CGN22181 (Yellow Bouquet) is just alike my lemon drop (hot lemon) Dario Hey Dario, thanks for the tip. I will plant some Jalapeno next year for sure The Yellow Bouquet looks the same indeed only the pods are a bit smaller and has less heat. Also the flavor is better in my opinion. Sweeter and less overwhelming floral taste.

meatfreak 500 Posted October 1, 2013 Plant 2's pods' shape , they seem super-hot peppers That was the first thing that crossed my mind as well when I saw these pods I will do a taste test this weekend and will report this here I like the shape a lot more then plant 1 but plant 1 is prettier in unripe stage. Also it's flowers have purple inside the white petals. The unripe pods have purple stripes on them. Gran bei frutti, complimenti. Grazie, Dean Wow! Wow! All well and good. Where did you get the seeds in Europe? Giani I traded seeds with people from all over the world, from Brasil to the US and of course friends in Europe

meatfreak 500 Posted October 2, 2013 Wonderful fruits! I like all those jalapeno with nice corking! Grazie, Claudio. Somehow all my Jalapeno's keep having excessive corking. Last season I thought the reason was I gave them to much water but this season I've been really tight on watering and they still have it. I like it a lot also but some people don't. It's even interesting to see how each variety seems to have it's own distinct corking patron don't they?
meatfreak 500 Posted October 12, 2013 Two weeks have passed and today the time had come to pick some more ripe pods before the frosts is really here. Next couple nights are gonna get colder so I really wanted to pick the ripe ones before that. By the looks of it, this harvest is a bit bigger then the previous one. All kinds of varieties, including some I didn't harvest from. Also came across some toads during my harvest, hopefully they continue to do their job and eat those nasty bugs Bubblegum 7 "Green Chinense" Unknown origin/variety The rest of the "new" varieties will follow later.

Rapace 9,606 Posted October 13, 2013 Maybe those unknown Chinense are semillas.de's Trinidad Scorpion Green ? Yeah, it seems very similar to that
meatfreak 500 Posted October 16, 2013 Maybe those unknown Chinense are semillas.de's Trinidad Scorpion Green ? Someone else noticed this on an different forum as well but the Trinidad Scorpion Green should be more like the Trinidad Scorpion FG. Those on the semillas.de site aren't the best looking ones, they are wider then my pods and also less wrinkled. I seeded them last night, they had quite some heat with an instant burn, very sharp like an Annuum burn. It reminded me of the Habanero Mustard I had last season, very strong Chinense flavor and hot. Taste wise it's not gonna be a favorite but I do love how it looks
Lonewolf 18,126 Posted October 16, 2013 Very nice harvest ... and really nice the toad too I grew Scorpion Green past year; it's very different from the unknown green chinense in previous page. However my fruits also were not super-hot and very different from true Scorpion.
meatfreak 500 Posted November 14, 2013 Although time is precious I couldn't let all those ripe pods go to waste, so before we had any serious frost I decided to harvest and clean out the tunnel today. A buddy of mine helped so it only took us 3 hours to harvest everything. Most of the pods were ripe or started to ripen, except the Baccatum's. Those still had a lot of green ones but I didn't wanna wait on those anymore. Besides all the ripe Jals there were still a lot of green ones left time to make poppers for during the winter and pickle the rest. I have absolutely no idea how much I harvested but it's a lot Don't think I'm gonna be able to de-seed them all before they start to get bad.
