Dente di Coyote

Ciao ragazzi,

ho visto il post e vi mando la foto di alcuni frutti che ho colto dalla pianta di dente di coyote di un amico.

 

 

Come vedete sulla stessa pianta si presentava sia un frutto regolare (a dx), a forma di dente di coyote, sia un frutto allungato (i due a sx)

io ho visto in un vivaio vendevano dlle piante di dente di coyote.... in linea di massima posso dirvi che i frutti erano uguali al chupetinho ma erano di colore biancastro. Belle piante

L'altro mese ho trovato presso un vivaio della zona delle belle piantine di Coyote. Spinto dalla curiosità, ho voluto vedere cosa ne veniva fuori da una di queste, scegliendo la qualità rossa, anche se quella bianca e gialla avevano gia' i fiori.

 

Purtroppo il giardino della mia casa ha poche ore di sole e credo che questa carenza influisca sullo sviluppo della pianta perche' i fiori sono sbocciati quasi subito ma per ora di frutti non se ne vedono.

Yes, the cultivar is the same.

 

I saw you have this variety and you posted some photos.... I have one question..... Does the colour of the pods switch to yellow before becoming white ? Or the final colour is yellowish ?

I saw one of your pictures in the database with pods at a different stage....

Yes, I was referring to those photos.... but it's not clear to me if color stages are green->yellow->White(Ivory) or green->White(Ivory)->yellow

Originally I thought the fruit was ripe at the yellow stage,the pictures are confusing. After time they change to ivory. I tried to portray that in my later photos.

 

I suggest everyone grow this plant. It has beauty from start to finish. It reminds me of a baccatum(crispness) but has flavor of chinense.
