Patrick 0 Posted January 15, 2011 Hello my Pepper Friends! Isn't it wonderful to be growing peppers again? This will be my grow log for the 2011 season. I like to post photos and I hope you enjoy them. This is the list of seeds that I have started so far with the number of seeds planted. I have more to start within the next few days. 7 Pod Jonah, ………………………………………………..5 7 Pod, Brain Strain,…………………………..……….. 5 7 Pod, Brown, ..…………………………………..……….. 6 7 Pod, Madball Z ,………………………………………5 7 Pod, Perfect…………………………………………..5 Bhut Jolokia, Chocolate,………………………………6 Bhut Jolokia,………………………………………………….5 Bhut Jolokia, Yellow #1 .…………………..……….. 5 Bhut Jolokia, Yellow #2,……………………………….5 Pimenta Tiger, AISPES004………………………..5 Trinidad Scorpion, ………………………….………. 8 Trinidad Scorpion, Chocolate AISPES108……… 5 Trinidad Scorpion, Morouga………………….…….. 5 Trinidad Scorpion, Yellow AISPES109………….. 5 Trinidad Scorpion, Yellow #2……………..………… 4 Trinidad Scorpion, Yellow Morouga AISPES107… 3 I'm happy to say I already have four seeds that have broken ground and started their new life. All four are Pimenta Tiger AISPES004. The first two were up in six days with the second two at seven days. I started them in 100% coco coir. They are on a heat mat which keeps the temps around 86F/30C. I will place the seedlings that have opened up under florescent light. I like to keep the seedling within 2in/5cm of the light. Prevents them from becoming leggy. Since the coco coir has no nutrients for the seedlings once a week I will provide a very weak fertilizer with the emphasis on phosphorous to promote healthy roots. Thanks and best of luck to all.

Patrick 0 Posted January 20, 2011 I like that Mich--a pepper family. Thank you. I have moved a few of the seedlings to the light table. It's a small table that holds a frame I built with PVC pipe. The lights are on chains that are adjustable so I can raise and lower them as needed. A few of the seedlings.
