Bell Pepper x Bhut Jolokia F3 hybrid

Recommended Posts

varg

On January 10th I got some ripe pods of Bell Pepper x Bhut Jolokia F3 hybrid.

It took the plant 104 days to give first harvest.

So the only thing I had to do at that moment was to make a taste test!

Taste and aroma was typical for hot C.annuum peppers: a little bit stingy but the burning sensation was short-lived. The heat level IMHO is about 6-7 of 10.

Some other photos of my plant:

Great!

It's look likes a very interesting hybrid!

Have you isolate every years the fruits? (I mean to obtain pure progenies)

It appears more soft than bhut jolokia flesh...right?

Thank you, amici but it's not my hybrid. I bought its seeds at Fataliiseeds.net

Yes, of course.

Strange mix, clearly C.annuum flowers, but sometimes multiple pods per node ...

Interesting!

Isn't Bell Pepper also known as Bishop Crown?

In such case it should be a Capsicum Baccatum!

Nice hybrid anyway!

Not at all. Bell pepper is a typical C.annuum.
