Ok qui è qualcosa a cui pensare!!

Ho ricevuto i semi della banca del seme nei Paesi Bassi come CGN 22.797.

Ho 4 piante 3 sono le sue normali viola fiorito C. Pubescens, tuttavia l'impianto quarto ha fiori bianchi ...,

I received the seeds from the seed bank in the Netherlands as CGN 22797.

I have 4 plants 3 are your normal purple flowered C. Pubescens, however the fourth plant has white flowers...,

It's also less "hairy" than the other plants.

Let's see which pods (and seed) it will produce.

grant, i've found the shots of the past year lonely white cardenasi flower, but i think it was because of a virus

 

 

 

 

the plant with twisted leaves...

 

 

this plant lives today and seems don't have to much cold problem outside, but hasn't flowers except for the white one

if the plant is normal can be a simple case of albinism

the plant has less pubescense than the purple flowered plant, all the seeds were black and the growth pattern is the same as the other C. Pubescens i.e.the plant is more wide than the high

Could it be that seed stock is not pure!? Time will tell, I guess... I once grew a pubescens with almost white flowers (i.e. some very pale purplish on flowers) - it is called Rocoto San Isidro and is avaliable from Semillas (http://www.semillas.de/cgi-bin/shop_en/shop.cgi) Do a search...

 

A very rare treat in pubescens, but I find the dark purple flowers prettier...

What I meant was that maybe a white flowered pubescens and a purple flowered pubescens had crossed - if 4 seeds from same batch turn out different from each other I think there is a good chance this is not yet a stabilized treat. Should this be a cross in its 2nd generation and if purple flowers is a dominant treat, you should statistically get 1 white-flowered plant for every 3 purple-flowered.

 

Will be exiting to see how the plants develop...
