Piccantilly Circus 2010 The first time ... as Ambassador As always happens to me when I enter into a new field, I remain fascinated by the novelty and become almost eager to learn. That of chillies is for me a subject to discover and this second year of cultivation, as it was for so many of you, is the year in which we try, by means of the experience gained in the previous season, the beauty and characteristics of many varieties that have never experienced before. The choice is difficult in a sector as polymorphic, but the ultimate goal is to select, just through direct knowledge, what are the varieties that will satisfy the most for one reason or another, it makes no difference. The important thing is the selection (choice) through the specific skills and I am still far challenge my ideal plant for the next crop ... by future expert. From cultivation in 2009, as written, I could appreciate the superhot and among these the Habanero, and this year I piloted my list in order to cultivate a wide range of this variety, except that .... as they say ... to sow even the honor of signing Jolokia pepper and some Pubescens, given that we sow them in the same period of the chinense. I took some digression with little wild or semi-wild. The next sowing to late February, will be dedicated to Annum, to Baccatum and the Frutescens. And here I see it really hard and arduous, but I still have time to think about it! A methodological clarification (as I like to be understandable!) the beginning of the adventure is scheduled for Saturday, January 16, 2010 and sowing five seeds for each variety listed in order to select two plants for each of them. Those who advance will, together with some purely ornamental varieties very kindly given me by Lonewolf and Stefania, to compose, next May, a stand of charity for the feast of St. Achilles (my parish).
