AlexH 0 Posted June 12, 2010 Sorry it's been so long since I posted some pictures, but the last two weeks have been very busy... Anyway, at least now with the warm weather things are beginning to happen a little faster!! Here are some updates... "Pepper Corner" The two "Pimenta Kathumby", one light and the other dark... The "Hungarian Hot Wax" ...these are very productive, and the pods grow very fast! The first "Anaheim" pod... This is an interesting pod, it's a Chocolate Habanero, but one pod seems to be developing in the Scorpion shape! Romanian Yellow... nearly ripe Cayenne... also nearly ripe ....and the purple chupe plant, with the first pod forming (it looks a lot like the one Mich posted a few weeks back!) Have a good weekend all!!!

Lonewolf 18,106 Posted June 12, 2010 Very nice plants and "pepper corner" As I wrote elsewhere, it's normal that P.Kathumby shows different leaves colour; I've at least three variants, it's a variety still unstable, but always wonderful
AlexH 0 Posted June 12, 2010 Thanks all! ...I harvested the first Cayenne pod today and it was good!! ...I'll post the recipie tomorrow!

AlexH 0 Posted July 4, 2010 So here are some recent photos of the plants... as you can see there are lots of pods forming (I only hope I manage to try some before I have to give the plants away!) Firstly the Annuums... Red Cherry Jalapeno Demon Red Tiny Samoa Cayenne ...I can't believe how productive this plant is!! ...there must be about 50 pods on it! ...and finally Anaheim Then the Fructescens... Romanian Yellow Then the Chinense... 7 Pod Cajamarca Chocolate Habanero ...some pods are already ripe! Pimenta Kathumby... as well as two different leaf colours the pod forms are alos quite distinct between the two plants!! Scorpion K ...another very productive plant, and good sized pods too! ...and last, but definitely not least, Naga Morich! Only about 3 or 4 plants don't have any pods yet... but soon I hope!! Much hotter than the pods I took from the same plant last year...! I don't know if it is connected in some way with the smaller leaves... th plant stayed over winter indoors and then I put it out again.... the leaves are small and the plant is very compact but has many pods! By the way Paolo... I'll be using some of the Hab pods to make a jerk marinade for the barby!

AlexH 0 Posted August 13, 2010 So... today will be the last day here in Italy I have managed to give about half of the plants to friends and neighbours, today I will harvest all of the ripe pods and take them in my suitcase to England! ...also, there is some space on the lorry so I will try to take some plants, I hope they will not get too hot or dry out, because they will not come out until next week, but it's worth a try.... So, if I am sucessful in transporting them I will continue to update my 2010 log... if not I will continue to read your logs with envy and wait until 2011! ...I'll let you know! Bye for now!
