AlexH 0 Posted May 2, 2010 Here's an update with a few photos (sorry it's been a while... ) As you can see I've planted about half of the plants out into large pots... (some of the others I've given to friends/colleagues/neighbours, and some are still waiting to be planted out!) Now there are lots of buds and flowers and even a few more pods... (guess the varieties! ) Hopefully now the weather is warming up they'll grow a bit faster!

mich 71 Posted May 5, 2010 Yes, snails are terrible and.... gourmet! - Ferramol (without metaldeyde) - Anti-limacce (with metaldeyde) - Glasses of beer around the pots - Keep the pots away from wall - Ash around the pots to improve the protection (snails don't "walk" on it) - Take a plat piece of wood, put pieces of potatoes under the wood, leave it at evening (or always now that it's rainy) near you know snails arrives and on morning soon take all and you'll find snails that are eating potatoes. Put them away without kill them (or kill them, do what you prefere! ). - Fight all night long with your hands.... - ...................

AlexH 0 Posted May 10, 2010 I can't believe how cold it is these days!!! ...I hope the plants survive, because I haven't got space for them inside now that they're in the large pots... at night it is sometimes only 5 or 6°C ....

mich 71 Posted May 11, 2010 How are things with you?? The plants in the greenhouse are ok, no problems, but it's quite urgent to put them out. The plants in pots are bad, snails, wet, rain, cold, make a lot of deseases... black leaves, holes......... Yesterday the meteoprogram said saturday the wheather will be better... I just pray PepperGod....

Marlon 1 Posted May 11, 2010 Yeah! We'll pray all together! Here in Prato there is 6 or 8° minimum, and all the plants are OK. Don't be afraid, Alex, they will survive! But... ...the snails... ... NUKE THEM ALL!
