Jah 1 Posted December 10, 2009 Hi everybody! Let me introduce myself. My name is Boris, I live in Russia. I grow edible plants at my flat. Let me show you some pictures of those who are not peppers Peppers will follow later Only a few pics with descriptions, all the others are in an album here http://spice-blog.ru/gallery2/v/Misc/ Pepino. A nice thing with a true melon flavor. But spider mites loves it so that I had to stop growing them. Ponderosa Lemon. A strange plant because the fruits differ from each other very much. An unripe Meyer lemon. I like green ones much more A bitter orange (seville orange) This one is sweet, not sour, and too smelly Tobacco I quit smoking right the day it began to flower Dunno why but funny. A grafted citrus. The match is a common tiny one about 2 mm thick. A white mulberry tree. Not as many berries as I'd like to have but still nice. They do not overwinter here in open ground. A variegated lemon tree
Jah 1 Posted December 10, 2009 A kiwano. Yeghhh... It's just a horny cucumber. A lemon fruit. The var is called Novogruzinskiy, that means New Georgia's. There were days when the great Georgia was a very friendly to us. So pity that now they call us (Russians) enemies. Btw the Georgians love peppers very much A self-grew self-made calabash A blue evening and pepino flowers Murraya paniculata berries. Very nice plant! Murraya koenigii berries. That's "curry leaf plant". The berries are spicy and yummy! Not as paniculata's Home-grew kumquats. Love them The same variegated lemon tree.

Jah 1 Posted December 10, 2009 And here's what I see from my window in summer It's a lake there. My house is right on a border of the city. There's a village on the other coast... A sunset A little nice storm. I like it very much! A warm wind in open windows! A smell of rain! A noise that makes you sleepy! A fresh green trees and grass! See I miss the summer! It's so cold here now... Cold and dark. So nice that I have a room full of green plants. There's a powerful artifical light there. Almost a greenhouse! Jah 1 Posted December 10, 2009 I am always ready Summer is a very nice! But spring after a winter is even better! Only pines and spruces are evergreen here, all the other loose leaves in autumn and stay bare and dark all the winter...

Jah 1 Posted December 11, 2009 very beautiful that taste has the kiwano??? Have you ever tasted a common overripe cucumber which became yellow? Inedible hard seeds and a little of sour slime around each. That's it

Jah 1 Posted December 13, 2009 Thank you all, dear friends, for your kind words. Let me try to attract your interest again Just a few of my peppers pics. Black pearl. Not so prolific as it could be but very beautiful. An interesting variety. The fruits were bought in Indian spice shop. Hard to germinate, huge plant, very tiny fruit and nice taste. The flesh is not sweet but very tender and juicy and wildly hot. I think it's a "mouse shit pepper". Purple beauty. Sweet pepper. Really, really beautiful! So funny that the "pre-ripe" ones are green. Pretty purple, two plants in the same pot. See the green leaves on the right? It's the mother. And the purple one is the child. Nice crack eh? While I was doing something on my balcony I moved almost all the plants from there and made a pic of Vietnamese Candlelight in full height. A very nice plant! One of the best annuums.
