Lonewolf 18,106 Posted March 11, 2008 I put into scottex a single seed of this nice variety just when were written last posts on this topic (January, 6th on evening). For all this time the seed stay down . This morning I throw away all remaining seeds not yet germinated, with only two exceptions: this seed and 5 seeds of Ottone's "amazzonico" ... As last attempt I put these seeds directly in water in warm environment. This evening a quick glance, more for habit than other ... surprise! Galapagoense's seed shows his little white radicle It took exactly 65 days! Now it's in the mould, I'm waiting to see it sprouting out ...
Ancora non si vede se i cotiledoni sono liberi, speriamo di non dover "operare" ... mi tremerebbe la mano --- It tooks a lot of time to sprout, but when started it moves on quickly ... in only two days the hook has come out from mould! cmpman1974 503 Posted March 21, 2008 After 10, yes 10 seeds, I got a C. Galapagoense to germinate and lose it's seed cap. Germination took 30-40 days. This is most notorious variety IMO for stubborn seed caps. We'll see how things go from this point. Chris

I bought the seed from fatalli.net. The seed germinated after a month on wet scottex that I put in a clear plastic container on a heating advice. I used a newspaper to aleviate the heat from the bottom. I just take this picture. Can someone advise me what tis variety needs when transplanted outside? Is it suposed to grow on ful sun or in a shadow position, more or less water,.. something to be particulary careful about? It is true, pepper growing makes you adicted. Mojca
