Elenco varietà 2022

Il sondaggio realizzato a partire dal 2013 grazie all'instancabile lavoro di Rapace, ha permesso di preparare un lungo elenco di specie e varietà coltivate dai Pepperfriends: oltre 3100 varietà!

L'elenco è un'ottima base per continuare a raccogliere ed elaborare informazioni sulle varietà coltivate anche per la nuova stagione.

Invitiamo tutti i Pepperfriends a scaricare il foglio in formato XLSX o ODS, a indicare con una X nella colonna "C" le varietà presenti nelle loro semine 2022 e a restituire poi il foglio compilato a Stefania (via email a segretario chiocciola pepperfriends.com)

E' importante non modificare la sequenza delle righe; se alcune varietà seminate non sono presenti, vanno aggiunte in coda al foglio XLSX/ODS.

Per alcune varietà mancano indicazioni sulla specie; chi dovesse coltivarle, può pubblicare documentazione per permettere l'identificazione (grazie!).

 

Un ringraziamento speciale a Carlo/Rapace per il grandissimo lavoro che da ormai 8 anni consente la realizzazione di questo elenco.

Per chi volesse partecipare, riporto le istruzioni più in dettaglio sia in italiano che inglese (è semplice e ci vogliono pochi minuti) e qualche suggerimento per trovare varietà che nell' elenco potrebbero "sfuggire" ad una prima ricerca anche se presenti.

Potete utilizzare il file da scaricare anche per altri scopi (contiene oltre 3.000 varietà classificate).

Come ricercare una varietà nell' elenco per verificare se è già censita.

 

Tutte le varietà più comuni sono sicuramente presenti nella lista ma potrebbero essere talvolta non immediate da trovare.

Questo deriva dal fatto che il nome completo viene spesso abbreviato nella comunicazione "standard" oppure per la presenza di sinonimi.

Alcuni esempi: Tepin o Chiltepin ? Moruga, Morouga o Trinidad Scorpion Moruga (o Morouga) ?

Il modo migliore per trovare queste varietà (se non identificate immediatamente in base all' ordine alfabetico) è usare la funzione "trova" di Excel o Open Office ed utilizzare per la ricerca una parola "chiave" nel nome. Se ad esempio voglio ricerca il "Pimenta da Neyde" digiterò "Neyde".... oppure per il TS Moruga blend.... userò Moruga (o anche solo "uga" così trovo anche "Morouga").

 

Come aggiungere una varietà che non è presente nell' elenco ?

 

Se poi proprio non trovate una o più varietà che state coltivando.... aggiungetelo in coda alla lista come una varietà nuova (non è un problema anche se esistesse già poi la sistemiamo).

 

E se coltivo un mio ibrido (instabile) ?

 

Alcuni ibridi sono già nella lista, se però non è fra quelli, è buona norma indicare (fino a che non si ha una varietà stabilizzata secondo gli adeguati criteri di selezione) sia la generazione (F1, F2, F3... etc.etc.) il nome della varietà madre e della varietà "padre" (varietà che ha fornito il polline).

Ad esempio: Habanero Orange X Trinidad Scorpion F1

Se poi si preferisce si può aggiungere un nome di fantasia ed il nickname Pepperfriends del coltivatore.

E' molto importante rappresentare in chiaro le due varietà originarie in modo da evitare il proliferare di nomi di fantasia senza sapere da cosa derivano.... specificandole si potrà poi sapere da cosa sono originati .

Ricordo che (si possono trovare cercando sul forum diversi topic al riguardo) per ottenere una varietà con un certo grado di stabilità ci vogliono diverse generazioni (talvolta più di 5) ed una selezione anno per anno basata su una selezione coerente fra diverse piante.

 

Molto importante: Non cancellare righe, non inserire nuove righe se non in coda, non riordinare la lista riportata (grazie  )

 

How to partecipate to the yearly Pepperfriend's statistics about cultivars/varieties.

 

1 - Download the Excel file (see the link just above) - This worksheet includes more than 1800 different cultivars and varieties.

2 - Write an "X" in Column "C" for the cultivars/varieties you're growing in coming season (2022).

3 - Save and send it to "segretario - at - pepperfriends.com" (of course you have to type @ instead of - at -)

 

How to find a variety/cultivar in the list.

 

All the common varieties/cultivars are already in the list and ordered in alphabetical order.

Nevertheless some of them could be not so easy to find because of synonims.

If you cannot find one of more of your cultivars / varieties in the list - try first with "find" function typing a "keyword" of the name of the cultivar (i.e . "neyde" for "Pimenta da Neyde" or "Arbol" for "Chile de Arbol").

 

What if one (or more) variety is definetely not in the list

 

If some of your cultivars are not in (or simpty you cannot find them) .... don't worry - just add one or more rows at the bottom of the worksheet.

 

What about not stable hybrids i'm growing up

 

If you are growing up some "own made" hybrids and they are not stable yet.... please specify the name of the original "mother" and "father".

i.e. - Habanero Orange (mother) X Trinidad Scorpion (father, which means the variety who provided the pollen).

Please specify also the generation (F1, F2...etc.etc.)

If you like you can also add a fantasy name and your peppefriends' nickname.

 

I also kindly ask you what follows:

Do not sort the spreadsheet in a different way, do not delete any row and do not add any row in the middle of the list (just at the end of it please)

 

In any case.... stay calm and send the list.... don't worry if you made some kind of mistake

Intanto........ un riepilogo generale sulle varietà coltivate considerando tutte le coltivazioni dal 2013 al 2021

 

Tutte varietà classiche, poche variazioni nella 'classifica' rispetto all' anno scorso.... ma questo è nell' essere delle cose quando si aumentano i dati di una percentuale sempre inferiore su una 'popolazione' sempre piu' ampia.

 

 

Ed aspetto molti aderenti a questo sondaggio oramai 'storico' anche per questo 2022 che sarà sarà il DECIMO anno si rilevazione.
