Amico "distratto"

Salve,

un mio amico ha fatto un po' di confusione coi semi e pensava di avere seminato dei Pimenta de Neyde

che gli avevo dato io l'anno scorso. Questa pianta me l'ha data lui, Chiedo agli esperti: Che varietà è? È un capsicum soprattutto?

No, non è un Capsicum, ma un Solanum.

Erba morella, un po' tossica.

Probabilmente è nata nel vaso spontaneamente.

Si può scrivere sia "de" che "da", se non erro.

No, il nome giusto è Pimenta da Neyde.

Intorno al 2006 un forum brasiliano di appassionati è nato praticamente per discutere su quale nome dare alla strana "pimenta desconhecida" e il nome scelto è stato appunto "Peperoncino di Neyde".

Questo l'inizio della storia nelle parole di Neyde stessa:

Then, Cláudio, I observed it better, took photos, send it to Luca, who showed it to Fatalii. They were really curious. I sent him a lot of seeds. Meanwhile, we created the peppers forum (Pimentas.org), of which I'm proud of being one of the firsts participants. 

The pepper was photografed in every possible angle and I received lots of emails. I sent seeds for a lot of different countries and for different regions of my loved Brazil. The pepper started being called Pimenta Desconhecida (Unknow Pepper). Later, with many people interested in the pepper, Luca proposed some kind of challenge to name it and... Well, they choose to tribute me with my name: Pimenta-da-Neyde (something like neyde's pepper).

Credo si possa scrivere  solo Da Neyde,  in quanto è un cognome.

In realtà Neyde è un nome proprio, ma indipendentemente da considerazioni sulla grammatica del portoghese/brasiliano, il nome giusto è quello scelto da chi per primo l'ha assegnato!

 

Ma stiamo divagando ... l'importante in questo topic è non mangiare i frutti di quel non-Pimenta da Neyde

Però potresti provare un bell'innesto con questa pianta... Pomodori, melanzane e se sei fortunato anche peperoncini!
