PurpleYelifish-2019 season

Recommended Posts

PurpleJellyfish

Ooh right! Let's begin! 😎

My germbox is ready. Arduino, temperature sensor and bulb.

I am going to cultivate about 80 (maybe some more) varieties and I won't have more than plant by variety. Wilds and pubescens are already in germbox. Chinense, annuum and frutescens will be in February.

Wish everyone a good season🙂

And here is my list 2019: (thanks to PF association for seeds)☺️

Hi, it was years since I saw lists that were so long and well articulated.

I noticed that there is almost no SuperHot variety, the rest of the choices I find really interesting.

It will be a pleasure to follow you and observe the developments of this impressive cultivation.

Please heeelp. In my germbox appeared mold. Constant temperature 28 and constant moisture.

Is this critical?

What should I do?

Too much moisture?
If you do not open the seed container frequently, it would be better to drill some holes on it,  to allow a change of air.

I disinfected seeds with chamomile tea. Later I saw that is better with bleach.

I will follow kapto's advice.

Thank you very much.

Grazie mille

Chamomile IS NOT a disinfectant; better, it's only a very bland disinfectant.

It's used only to soften teguments.

You have to use a solution of water and bleach (9:1)

Can I use bleach after mold appear?

I didn't know that chamomile tea softens teguments. Thank you for this information.

Ciao,

Constant temperature 28 c. is not an issue (it's really fine).

To reduce moisture keep the box open more.. until water evaporate

About the mold,.if germination process started already you will "stop it forever"using bleach........ otherwise it could work.... but you cannot be sure.

Best option is to use new seeds (if you have them), disinfecting them, to wash and disinfect the box and to use new scottex.

Otherwise, if you haven't additional seeds, clean the seeds and perform the rest on box and scottex.... and reuse same seeds in the "new" cleaned environment.

Ciao,

I put C. Chinense and C. Baccatum seeds on paper towel two days ago. Some varieties already germinate:w00t:

My wild peppers are lagging behind. No progress since last time:(

Tomorrow I will upload some photos of plants and do an update on seeds germination.

And this is the holly list:D
