meatfreak 500 Posted April 8, 2016 Una lista di ibridi impressionante! Vale la pena stabilizzarli tutti? It's to early to tell, most of them are F-2 this year so I will need to wait and see what the outcome of that will be. If they are not interesting enough, I won't continue stabilizing them.

meatfreak 500 Posted May 26, 2016 It's been a while since the last update, don't think I haven't been doing anything I decided to wait with doing the next border and paving first. I started planting out last week first and finished yesterday already. No trellising like previous seasons since there are multiple plants growing at a spot, they will support each other. Reason I only planted the first 2 rows is that I might be able to access the second row easier once the season progresses. 3 rows has always been a pain in the I can still do it later in season but I'm sure I probably won't knowing myself Chinense plants Annuum plants with a couple of Chinense Pimenta Lisa F-4, looks like I will have some variation again... hoped it would have been a bit more stable by now The tomatoes are doing well, planted out the last ones this week. Got some small tomatoes going already.

Oban 9,284 Posted May 28, 2016 Wow Stefan, incredible placing, you'll keep the plants in the greenhouse throughout the summer? Very nice vertical ligatures, are used to give support to the plants? Best of luck!

meatfreak 500 Posted June 21, 2016 Fantastic set-up as usual Stefan Thanks Carlo Wow Stefan, incredible placing, you'll keep the plants in the greenhouse throughout the summer? Very nice vertical ligatures, are used to give support to the plants? Best of luck! Yeah I keep them in the greenhouse the entire season, especially with the weird climate we are having I'm glad I did The vertical ligatures are indeed to support the plants (trellis). For 1 or 2 is doable but I got multiple plants growing now at 1 spot so no trellising there needed. wonderful!! Nice job, well done! Grazie mille! Time for another update, been a couple of weeks Overview of the tunnels. Chiltepin Cappuccino MFPJ23 #1 F-3 new phenotype of this generation. MFPJ44 F-1 From the 20 seeds only 3 germinated and I ended up with 2 plants. First one is flowering and the colors on the flowers are really something Pimenta Lisa F-4, again some variation but the preferred ones are the plants with dark/green leaves. First harvest of snack cucumbers and zucchini.
Geez 282 Posted July 2, 2016 My compliments Stefan, perfect cultivation! May I to ask... Your growlist contains NuMex Jalapeño Lemon Spice. Have your plants the flowers? My flowers of Lemon Spice are with violet stains on petals (my photos). Is this color normal? I would be glad to compare...

My flowers of Lemon Spice are with violet stains on petals (my photos). Is this color normal? I would be glad to compare... Thanks, Geez. Yes mine are having the same, just 1 plant of the Lemon Spice but also have 1 plant of the Orange Spice with purple on the petals. Overall the plants are pretty purple for an Jalapeno. If it's normal, I think it is a trait of the variety itself yeah. Been a couple of weeks, time for another update Chinense Annuums I like the bush growth of the Cappuccino Chiltepin a lot. Flowers soon MFPJ23 flowershot, 1 of the many flowers this cross has. Watermelons are going well! Tomato, Dark Galaxy. These are a couple of pictures from my MFPJ15, Carlo. 1 of them looks a lot like the F-1 from last year except the pods are not cream when unripe, just green. As you can see, quite different from last year. Not all plants have pods yet, got about 13 in total so excited to see the others. 1 plant has flowers with purple dots on its petals. Thats the only purple here so far.

Dario Thanks, Dario. Can't say much about the MFPJ44 except that it's Annuum. Pods are growing but still rather small. Will post a picture once it's bigger soon, not what I wanted so far but it's only F-1. More variation will show in F-2 which I will grow out once I harvested the first seeds. This is the first time growing an Chiltepin but I do believe it's similar in shape with the other Chiltepin varieties. The bush on the picture might look very full but that's because it's 5 plants together It has tiny leaves and a very open growth. The stems looks quite fragile.
Toolshed 4,341 Posted July 6, 2016 The bush on the picture might look very full but that's because it's 5 plants together oh ok. i suppose that good looking effect is also due to the fact they are more plants togheter. i tried it in the past with different results. for example i growth two ciliatum and two cheiro roxa in the same pot and the result was great. while in the case for example of jalapeno, that was not good. you have any criterion for choosing varieties to grow togheter?

Great update Stefan, I have 3 plants F2 this year, one of them already ripen pods and it didn't show crem unripen pods. Unripen pods are very dark at a certain time, the rest seems very similar to your one. I just put some picture of ripen pods on my topic. Ciao ! meatfreak 500 Posted August 3, 2016 Great update Stefan, I have 3 plants F2 this year, one of them already ripen pods and it didn't show crem unripen pods. Unripen pods are very dark at a certain time, the rest seems very similar to your one. I just put some picture of ripen pods on my topic. Ciao ! Carlo From all my plants not 1 has cream pods when unripe, but there are a couple that I will grow out next season. To bad I didnt get 1 plant similar to last year I also got 1 plant that has some purple on the pods but not completely purple, more like squares. Think its cool and shapewise is similar with F-1. Another MFPJ15 similar in shape but no purple, first pod ripening went straight from green to red.
meatfreak 500 Posted August 3, 2016 So first pods have started to change color. MFPJ43 F-1 Only 1 plant but this plant is so loaded and big I trimmed it back so other plants have more space. This one is coming from smooth red pods, funny how F2 works. The yellow is no surprise though.PI 441598 x BBG7 F-2 (thanks Jason) some plants have bbg calyx and some dont. The ones with bbg calyx look like this so far and are going orange.BBG7 White F-2 going true, small first pod. Got a few bigger ones.MFPJ9 #2 F-2MFPJ37 F-1 these are going yellow which I did not expect as one of the parents was red but both were unstable F-2 x F-1 so..MFPJ12 F-2MFPJ31 F-1MFPJ18 F-2

meatfreak 500 Posted August 26, 2016 What a colourful garden you must have! Congratulation! Is it difficult to grow the Quinoa? Thanks! It's not difficult at all, rather low maintenance. Only make sure you put them close together so they can support each other. Wind and rain brought most down here
