I found PepperFriends during identification of a wild pepper.

I would like to thank Claudio for the attention he gave me.

You're lucky to study near the place where that species is grown, at UFV!

Probably a lot of people pass near the plants of C.caatingae, but they don't pay attention to these small, unbelievable flowers.

This is perhaps one of the most beautiful Capsicum flowers.

 

Also, you are lucky that you can easily explore areas where you live searching for wild Capsicum (without having to fly through Atlantic Ocean )

I really appreciate what you wrote in your grow-log on Pimentas.org.

If you wish to deepen your knowledge on wild Capsicum, we can send you about 10 different wild species which can be grown and exchanged worldwide because they were distributed by seeds banks (such as USDA) and are not subject to limitations applied to Brazilian wild species.

I accept the seeds but my germination rate is not very good.

I will use some seeds of C.caatingae to test more effective methods of germination.

Maybe I'll even get a space in the greenhouse of the university to cultivate them.

 

Eu aceito as sementes mas minha taxa de germinação não está muito boa.

Vou usar algumas sementes da C.caatingae para testar metodos mais eficazes de germinação.

Talvez eu até consiga um espaço na casa de vegetação da universidade para cultiva-las.
