Lonewolf 18,111 Posted September 19, 2013 PI 152225 C.chinense Miscucho colorado As the acronim PI denote, this is a plant from seeds of USDA, the US seeds bank. It's a variety from Peru'. While "colorado" means red in Spanish, I can't find a translation for the word miscucho I choose it among all the varieties available on the seed bank, because I wish to verify if it's in some way linked with Cajamarca; now I'm almost sure it's an ancestral form of that beautiful variety As you can notice, I put a question mark after C.chinense, because even if the whole plant looks like a C.chinense, flowers are quite strange and are intermediate between annuum and chinense. Maybe it's a cross between the two species, as Cajamarca itself seems to be. Plant grow up to 1 m and produces a fairly good number of pods maturing from light green to bright red, with nice purple streaks. Leaves Flowers Pods Nice color variations
